Rose Millner
Background:
Hello!! My name is Rose Millner and I am the Director for God’s Treasures Child Care. I am a member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church. I grew up in Rochester, MN and attended Resurrection Lutheran School at the end of my 7th grade year, my family relocated to New Ulm where I attended St. Paul’s Lutheran Elementary School and then Minnesota Valley Lutheran High School. I truly enjoy working with children of all ages and seeing all of the new things they are learning. Please feel free to contact me with any questions!
Education:
I graduated from Marting Luther College in New Ulm, MN in 2012 with a Bachelor of Science in Educational Studies. I then attended South Dakota State University in Brookings, SD and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education in 2014. I enjoy going to teachers conferences and gathering new ideas to bring back here to try with the kids- they always think its neat too!
Susan Schauer
Background:
My name is Susan (Brummund) Schauer. I grew up on a 35 acre hobby farm near Cannon Falls, MN with three brothers and five sisters. I am number seven of nine children God blessed Linda and R.C. Brummund with.
In 2010 I got married to my best friend, Alan Schauer, and became a step-mother to two young men and a grandmother to seven children, ages eight months to fifteen years old. I moved to Lafayette and Alan and I became members of Zion Lutheran Church. I also started teaching Sunday School at Zion. I am now enjoying working at God’s Treasure Child Care.
Education:
I graduated from Cannon Falls High School in 1969 and from Dr. Martin Luther College in 1973.
My first call was to Sleepy Eye, MN, where I taught K-2 for six years.
I then moved to Winona, MN, where I taught first grade for five years.
Finally, I moved to Redwood Falls, MN, where I taught grades 1-2 for fourteen years.
After teaching for twenty-five years I retired. I continued to live in Redwood Falls working at Jackpot Junction in their tour and travel department and then at Subway. While living in Redwood Falls, I taught Sunday School at St. John Lutheran Church. In 2004 I got involved with the Jesus Cares program at St. John’s. Since then I have been a camp counselor at the Jesus Cares summer Bible camp for adults with developmental challenges.
